Xiaomi announces the Mi TV 2 at RMB 1,999

Xiaomi has announced the new Mi TV 2 via their Twitter handle today. The new Mi TV features a 40-inches of display and is a FHD LED Panel. The TV is powered by Mali 450 GPU and MStar 6A908 CPU. The TV supports all the Video Format and also support H.265 10-bit Hardware decoding. The Mi TV is super slim in the Television segment at 14.5mm.

The display of the TV is a LED panel by Sharp and supports SDP & Radiant LED backlit module which offers a incredible 5000:1 contrast Ratio.

The TV sports Android 4.4 and Xiaomi has promised to upgrade the Smart TV to the latest iteration of the Google's OS the Android 5.0. The TV has a 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory and sports Dolby Digital virtual surround sound.

With the above specs the hardware provided by Xiaomi is awesome and when available at a rate of  RMB 1,999 which translates to INR 20,000 is a great deal, Xiaomi would be getting the Mi TV in India, possibly by Q3 2015.
